Celtic Peacock Mug

This new bone china mug is inspired by ancient Irish manuscripts which often had gold leaf details in illustrations of the four Gospels. A significant subject in ancient Celtic art, the peacock was a symbol of immortality, while the 'eye' markings in the peacock's elaborate tail were thought to endow the bird the gift of foresight.
